HORIZONTAL LOOP:
Horizontal loop designs are implemented using an excavator. Trenches at varying depths are dug through the lot. Anywhere from 2 pipe to 6 pipe configurations are installed in the trenches. Once the pipe has been installed, the trenches are backfilled and the lot is restored to its original state. |
 |
VERTICAL LOOP:
Vertical loop designs are installed in a well drilled holes. This vertical wells range in depth depending on the amount of energy that is required to heat and cool. The geothermal loop is then ran through a small horizontal trench and into the home/building.

POND LOOP:
Pond loops are installed using horizontal coils. If the pond has the proper depth and water flow, these loops can be utilized. |
 |
OPEN LOOP:
Open loop systems utilize ground water is drawn from an aquifer through one well, passes through the heat pump's heat exchanger, and is then discharged to the same aquifer through a second well.
